To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of thePeople’s Republic of China (PRC) and the centenary of the May Fourth Movement,diversify the activities of Student Branch of the Party, enrich party members’holiday, and inspire students’ patriotism, the Ph.D. Student Branch andUndergraduate Student Branch of Class 2016 and 2017 of the Business School ofCentral University of Finance and Economics (CUFE) jointly organized a theme partyday when they went to the Beijing Concert Hall on May 1, 2019 for a concert namedCelebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of PRC: Red Flag Flying-GrandSymphony Concert of Classical Songs.
The concert struck a chord with the audience in different agegroups from all walks of life. Old and young, from teens to small children tocollege students and others, flocked to the musical feast starred by topperformers and singers from the most famous chorus in contemporary China torevisit everlasting classics.
Aseries of classic songs likeOde to Red Flag,Azalea, andMilitaryand Civilian United as Familywere performed. In the forms of singing andplaying musical instruments, it demonstrated the strong will of our countrywinding its way through difficulties and dangers and manifested thecollectivism and patrotism in traditional Chinese culture. These classic songs toldstories about the path of national rejuvenation full of twists and turns and eulogizedremarkable achievements made by the Chinese people under the leadership of theCommunist Party of China. Through the music, we revisited those tremendouschanges in a millenium, eventful years, nirvana, great turns, trans-centuryleaps, and new chapters based on the past achievements. A strong sense of pridearose from deep inside upon witnessing the increasing prosperity of ourmotherland which motivated our sense of mission and honor to serve the Partyand the people wholeheartedly.
TheStudent Party Branch of the CUFE Business School, led by its Party Committee,has developed various activities for its members to cultivate their party spiritand quality for their all-round development. In the future, the Branch willconduct more activities to promote patriotism education in various forms frommultiple dimensions, and study and implement guiding principles of the 19th CPCNational Congress and Xi Jinping’s Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristicsfor a New Era in different ways.
