Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations
As the role will have a concentration on China related projects, it is anticipated the candidate will have key responsibilities in the following areas on an ad hoc basis, in a challenging role which will allow them to:
Requirement
• Partner with finance and operations business leaders in China in determining risks for further assessment and review as an ERM engagement.
• Partner with China Ethics Committee and OEC to assist with any financial aspects of special investigations and policy changes etc.
• Participate and/or lead in financial, compliance, operational, and strategic risk assessments based in China, sponsored by senior leadership and utilizing Six Sigma and other analytical techniques. Facilitate change and process improvement by offering value-added solutions on such engagements.
• Partner with finance and operations business leaders in China during the course of various assessments and projects and any components of global projects with a China element requiring coverage and audit testing.
• Assisting with special due diligence work on potential mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures in and around China.
• Monitor the implementation of required solutions to ensure the successful completion of project objectives for projects where China management has been identified as the owner and for all China specific projects.
• Serve as a catalyst to share best practices.
• Work effectively as part of a motivated, diverse, and high-energy team and be coach and mentor to local staff members.
• Take advantage of leadership training and development opportunities and ensure proper training is taken by all China staff members of audit Services.
• Assist with new hire orientation of audit staff into any China office.
• Assist with technical interviews for audit candidates into any China office.
• Take charge of local office administrative needs for audit services in China.
• Act as Business Conduct Champion in China representing audit service.
• Special initiatives partnering with the businesses.
To succeed in this role you will have 10-15 years of business experience in finance, accounting, consulting, operations, and/or information systems with progressive career advancement and a record reflecting highly effective performance. Demonstrated excellence in communications, leadership, analysis, strategic business knowledge, and partnering with financial and operational business leaders are essential qualities. This position is located in Beijing with some travel required domestically, and internationally for worldwide meetings and training. Increased international travel may be available if requested.
The ideal candidate will have a business or information systems undergraduate degree, along with knowledge of GAAP, IAS, and corporate governance standards . A CPA, MBA or similar advanced degree, and fluency in multiple languages are strongly preferred.
